The Window Symbols Of Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church
|
The following was prepared by Dr. Thomas F. Suber at the time of completion (1955) of the present church building. Dr. Suber was Pastor at St. Luke’s from May 1, 1951 through May 31, 1962 and will best be remembered for the leadership he gave the congregation during the construction of this church building. He was loving known as the “Church Building Preacher.” Many thanks also to Mr. Eldred Connelly for his contribution of this article. The symbols in the windows on the right hand side of the church, as one enters the narthex, have reference to the Life and Work of Christ for humankind’s Salvation. |

Those on the left hand side refer to the life of the Christian under the grace of God in Christ. The images are shown in the order in which the windows appear. Use the buttons on the left to view the different portions of the article. |
