Looking Through the Windows: The Theme of the St. Luke's Web Site

The design of this web site is very attached to the church it represents.  Browsing the internet  is a bit like peering into another world through the window of a computer screen.  Indeed, many of our computers utilize software entitled "Windows."

The stained glass windows of St. Luke's are a very prominent feature of the church.  They too remind those looking through them that inside what they represent is another world, a different world from the everyday that we are accustomed to.  It is the world of the in-breaking Kingdom of God.

Since the windows are such a prominent feature of the church, it is only appropriate that the church windows be just as prominent on this web site.  Therefore, on any page of this site you may visit, you are in fact peering through a window of St. Luke's.

The background of the pages of this site is actually one of the small panes of stained glass from a window in the church.

The page backgrounds and all other thematic colors of the site are derived from that pane of stained glass.

Thus, as you browse this web site, our hope is that you will experience more than common web pages, but will feel as though you are peering into the windows of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
